About the program

The Physics Department awards a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, with a four-year program in which students complete (134) credit hours. The study plan aims to harmonize what students learned in secondary school with the university's science teaching plans to ensure integrated knowledge construction and personal balance. The plan includes (12) credit hours of university requirements, (21) credit hours of college requirements, and (101) credit hours covering fundamental and specialized topics in physics, both theoretical and practical.
Additionally, the department offers a graduate program in Advanced Materials Physics, where students complete (49) credit hours, including (40) credit hours divided among advanced specialized courses and (9) credit hours dedicated to the scientific thesis.
Through all its programs and the expertise it possesses—both material and human—the department actively and effectively contributes to preparing male and female graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills required by the job market, whether in research or education, to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

4.Developing, strengthening and directing the scientific research environment in the Physics Department towards the knowledge economy.


5.Activating the role of faculty members in community service through lectures, awareness seminars, advisory services, and establishing partnerships with relevant institutions and authorities.
