كلمة رئيس القسم - College of Education
Praise be to God, who taught by the pen, taught man what he did not know. Peace and blessings be upon the most honorable of God's creation and the best educator known to humanity, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions. The Department of Curricula and Instruction plays an active role in achieving the university's vision and strategic plan, which stems from the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030. This is achieved through its mission to provide a distinguished academic and research environment that keeps pace with the latest global trends in educational program design, effective teaching strategies, and the use of modern educational technologies in the educational process. This will ensure the graduation of competent teachers capable of effectively addressing the latest developments in the field of education. The department comprises a select group of specialists who spare no effort in harnessing their scientific knowledge and research experience to conduct educational studies and guide their students to produce solid research in the fields of curricula, teaching methods, and educational technologies. This research meets international publishing standards and contributes to meeting the needs of the local educational community. They also actively participate in providing specialized consultations to various groups in the educational field. As part of their contribution to community service and fulfilling their duties in establishing partnerships with various institutions, the department offers Master's degrees in Education in Curriculum and Instruction (academic) and in Educational Technology (vocational), in addition to numerous general courses for university students. This is part of its constructive role in achieving sustainable professional development for teaching staff and preparing competent and qualified teachers to keep pace with the rapid development of educational knowledge and educational technology. This enables them to enrich the educational movement with their diverse experiences and provide university graduates with the necessary life skills.
The department enjoys unlimited support from university and college leaders in response to the directives of the wise leadership, which has prioritized education. This motivates department staff and encourages them to continue the ongoing review and development of all components of academic programs and to work on developing new programs and courses, as part of its tireless efforts to meet the evolving needs of the labor market and in accordance with quality standards and requirements and academic accreditation. I ask God to protect our beloved country and our wise leadership, and to crown everyone's efforts with His help and success.
