About the program

The department awards bachelor's degrees to biology students, offering a curriculum of 130 credit hours designed to continuously evolve educational programs in line with national and international standards. This ensures the graduation of students who meet the demands of Saudi Arabia's job market.

Our faculty comprises highly efficient educators and researchers who also contribute significantly to university and community services. The department prioritizes the development of skilled scientific professionals, including faculty, researchers, experts, and technicians in scientific and technological fields, keeping pace with advancements across disciplines.

The department fosters scientific research among faculty members and collaborates with scientific, governmental, and industrial institutions to address environmental and societal challenges in biology. Our laboratory supports undergraduate education and research, yet requires additional resources for faculty to effectively teach and conduct research, especially in adapting to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our curriculum is designed to integrate students' high school knowledge with university-level science education, aiming to develop well-rounded graduates with strong biological knowledge and teaching abilities that meet societal and job market needs.
